Inside the gallery another type of thermometer made with household oils calibrated the indoor temperatures. Each glass vessel held a combination of almond and coconut oil that had increments of half degree melting points. As the temperature rose in the gallery with the presence of more visitors, the contents of the vessels would liquify as each substance reached its melting point, showing the increasing temperature.
